Today the internet had approximately one thing to say, and it was said by @bmfteixeira, who reported running thirty minutes across San Francisco to attend a session with Michael Alton of Granola and @cjc, Linear's COO. There is a photo. There is no agenda, no recap, no summary of what was actually said, just the digital equivalent of arriving slightly out of breath and glad about it.

Which is, in its way, a data point. The people who show up to hear operators talk about building companies tend to be the same people who care about how the work gets tracked, and this is the part of the Linear conversation that happens offline: at events, in rooms, over coffee, in places that generate one grainy photo and eleven likes and no thread.

Notably absent today: nothing from the Linear account itself, no changelog chatter, no agent takes, no one relitigating Jira. The feed occasionally does this. A product that ships steadily produces days where nobody has a fresh opinion, because the last opinion still applies.

So the entry for September 8, 2026 is short. A man ran across a city to listen to a COO, and eleven people thought that was good. We will take it as a mild leading indicator that Linear's executives are out doing the conference circuit, which is the sort of thing that shows up in the feed later as customer stories, and for now shows up as cardio.
